Loserpalooza is back. After the success of last year, we've decided to make it an annual event. We present to you some of our favourite bands from a variety of genres.

I've been in this band 10 years now. No, wait, 11 years. Jesus. We play lobotimised riffs through vintage gear and I sing really quite depressing lyrics over the top. Actually the riffs are getting a bit more complex now the drummer is writing them. Typical drummer. If all goes well this here gig will also be our record release party. If you like slightly conceptual, slow, heavy metal, then you'll dig us.

The best damn party band you'll hear all night. They put the rug in drugs and the drugs in their mouths. Psychedelic groove with the feel of real steel. Other words that don't really describe how they sound but sort of rhyme.

Singers have the easiest job in the band, right? Well, these guys aren't letting anyone shirk their work (more rhyming, that's why I'm a lyricist), Thorun let the riffs speak for themselves. And what riffs! They've matured a lot since they played last year's 'palooza and are a tight little unit (fnyaar). Plus their bass player does hell of DIY. Tr00 fax.
For fans of: Kyuss, Karma To Burn, other stonery instrumental bands that I can't think of right now.

All bands from the valleys are shit, right? They all sound like the Stereophonics and have tribal tattoos, right? 'ewer fuckin' wrong as fuck, butt. Zinc Bukowski describe themselves as shoegazing punk. BUT, they're more than that. They can gaze at all kinds of things as long as as they don't have to raise their eyeline above waist level. You name it and, as long as it's pretty far down, quite near the floor, they'll fuckin' look at it, for fuckin' hours if needs be, all the while playing their songs, which are good.
For fans of: Butthole Surfers, Nirvana, other much cooler 80s punk bands that I don't know about 'cos I'm from the valleys too, like enit.

Bristol based grind idiots with latent doom tendencies. They forsook their motherland of Newport to a make new life for themselves with the English. Personally I suspect EDL connections, all that fast stuff is Nazi themed isn't it? And if it's still acceptable to listen to Burzum...am I right? They're probably not white supremacists but they are loud, fast and powerful (like the white man (they're not Nazis, I promise)). For fans of: Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Discordance Axis, bands that don't have bass players.

Kicking the evening off are one of the most under-rated bands around IMHO. I'm not exactly sure where IMHO is, but the people there need to buck up their ideas in my humble opinion. Anyways, melody is a good thing, as is being able to play the guitar properly, these guys are masters of both these things. Frankly they don't get enough credit and I'm hoping that youse guys out in Loserpalooza land will get hip to them and dig their wig.

plus awesome tunes in between bands (probably mostly ZZ Top if it's left to me) and an amazing and reasonably priced merch table.

It's all happening upstairs at Buffalo (because the sound there is always great) and doors are at 3pm. We have a 10pm curfew, so there'll be time to go visit your favourite watering hole and pick up a bit of strange later. Nice.
